I have enough of a southern accent to NOT fit in back home but not enough to fit in here.

I don’t do FAKE SOUTHERN mannerisms…they don’t work…

We had a group of ferocious parents this year. More parent meetings that you could shake a stick at.

SOME were wonderful… actually, MOST were wonderful… it is just a few that want to see who they can devour….. I hate it when the kids lie….

This past school year, I was told by my Vice Principal that I would have an easier time dealing with parents (although I had almost no problems to speak of) if I could try to be more “southern” in my mannerisms. Girl, I don’t know if this old dog can learn that new trick!

I’m letting it go… just so much to sort through emotionally… I’ll get there. I will see my principal this week to get some direction on teaming and positions for next year. He said WEDNESDAY… so we’ll see.

Hi Karen! I finally got a WordPress account so I can comment directly on your blog, which I read faithfully, even I haven’t been commenting.

Congratulations on another year under the belt! It is a relief to finally reach that summer vacation, don’t worry you will relax into it. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now, and I have to remind myself which day of the week it is. It’s so nice to sleep in regularly too.

Miss you, maybe I’ll see you this summer.
